I grew up in a family business. Sunday dinners, school holidays, after-school hours, someone was always talking shop. I loved every minute of it. So when the opportunity came to buy The Optical Shoppe I didn't think twice. I jumped in with both feet.

Seven years on, it still feels like the perfect fit, a marriage of my love for fashion, business, and the kind of genuine expertise that only comes from caring deeply about what you do.

Growing up, I also spent a lot of time in curling rinks, sports arenas, and every fundraiser venue Regina had to offer. Our family volunteered for everything. That upbringing taught me what it really means to give back, to be part of something bigger than yourself. Owning a business in the city I've always called home isn't just a career. It's a privilege I don't take lightly.

Thel built something special here. She was ahead of her time in saying that "glasses are the most important item you wear" — and forty years later, we couldn't agree more.
